I’ve spent the past two+ years of my career with AppOnboard and what a couple years it has been. I was an early and integral part of building out the playable/interactive ad network business before multiple pivots and the Buildbox acquisition led us to the current suite of #nocode software for app making and marketing for the maker generation. I have learned so much throughout my time with AppOnboard; skills and experiences that will certainly aid and guide me throughout the rest of my career for which I am very grateful.
Most importantly, I spent those two+ years with some of the best and brightest people in our industry. In fear of inevitably missing someone, I won’t be able to mention everyone by name, but specifically want to thank AppOnboard CEO Jonathan Zweig for taking the chance on me along with other leaders over my tenure at AOB: Joel Chang, Bryan Buskas, Tim O’Neil, and Luke Auger. To the rest of my colleagues at AppOnboard, thank you for a wonderful two years of hard work, friendship, and good times. I hope our professional paths cross again in the future. I’m sure they will.
It’s now time for the next phase of my career. I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be joining the rock star team at GameRefinery as Senior Director of Business Development.
GameRefinery is a Helsinki-based company which helps mobile game developers and publishers understand the market including unique game feature-level data via game and market analysis tools.
I’m super excited about the product-market-fit and the opportunity to provide a valuable tool to my existing network of game makers along with continuing to grow that network. The GameRefinery team is already working with some of the biggest and best gaming companies in the world such as King, Zynga, Rovio, FoxNext, and SquareEnix, among others. I look forward to growing the business, product, and customer-base to all new heights in 2020 and beyond.
I could not be happier to be at joining another early stage company that is running a healthy business while still being lean and agile enough to meet market needs and requests efficiently. It was very important for me to be able to be a high-impact contributor at a smaller company rather than a seemingly smaller part at a big company. I can say without a doubt that this box is checked with GameRefinery.
Lastly, and most importantly, it once again comes down to the people. Everyone I have had the pleasure of interacting with throughout the process of vetting the GameRefinery opportunity has been incredibly wonderful.
I want to extend a big thank you to CEO Markus Råmark, VP of Business Development Brendan Fraher, and Chief Game Analyst Erno Kiiski for their time and great conversations over the past number of weeks. I cannot wait to work closely with each of you along with the rest of the team.
If you are a game developer or publisher please let me know if you are interested in learning more about how GameRefinery can help you grow your business. Either way, I’m sure you’ll be hearing from me soon.
It’s time to get to work.
